This could be the perfect role for you! We are seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) to join our team as a Float Counselor. This is a unique counseling position designed for someone who enjoys the energy and connection of group work and wants to focus their clinical skills on facilitating meaningful, engaging group therapy. What Makes This Role Different?
As a Float Counselor, you will not carry a caseload of clients. Instead, your primary responsibility will be to provide coverage and facilitate a variety of groups throughout our program. This role is ideal for someone who: Loves facilitating group therapy and leading discussions Enjoys working with a variety of clients and groups Is comfortable stepping into different groups and program needs Thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment Wants to focus on clinical group facilitation rather than case management and individual caseload responsibilities Responsibilities Facilitate a variety of substance use disorder and recovery-focused groups Provide engaging, structured, and clinically appropriate group therapy Build rapport with clients and create a safe, supportive group environment Adapt group facilitation style to meet the needs of different populations and group settings Provide education and therapeutic interventions related to substance use, recovery, coping skills, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, and other relevant topics Complete required clinical documentation and group notes in a timely manner Collaborate with counselors and the clinical team to support continuity of care Provide coverage for groups and clinical programming as needed Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with LADC licensure and organizational policies

Virtual group facilitation from home The Saturday portion of the position is fully remote, allowing you to facilitate your scheduled virtual group from the comfort of your home.
Compensation$33.00-$35.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Qualifications Current Minnesota LADC license required Experience facilitating substance use disorder groups preferred Strong group facilitation and communication skills Ability to engage clients and foster productive group discussion Strong understanding of substance use disorders, recovery, and evidence-based treatment approaches Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team Reliable, professional, and adaptable BenefitsBenefits for eligible staff include: Paid PTO Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Mental Health Supervision 401(k) match after required minimum service
