Job Description

Leidos is seeking a Military Family Life School Counselor to support military-connected students and families in a K-12 school setting. In this role, you will provide non-medical, confidential counseling, brief solution-focused interventions, and crisis support to help students build resilience, manage stress, and navigate military-related transitions. You will collaborate with school staff, parents, and installation resources while maintaining strict ethical and privacy standards. Responsibilities Provide non-medical, confidential counseling to military-connected students and families in a school setting. Deliver brief, solution-focused interventions to address stress, behavioral, and adjustment issues related to military life. Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and appropriate referrals as needed. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and installation resources to support student well-being and readiness. Facilitate psychoeducational groups and outreach to promote resilience, coping skills, and mental health awareness. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reporting in line with program, ethical, and privacy requirements. Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development within the Leidos culture of continuous learning.
