This position begins as part-time with a minimum commitment of 10 clinical hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as your caseload develops. We are looking for an LAC who is eager to grow with the company, build their clinical career, and be part of a supportive team, with free supervision provided. Duties Conduct thorough mental health and behavioral assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as ICD-10 coding standards and DSM criteria. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on issues such as trauma, PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and geriatrics. Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document clinical notes accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support patients experiencing acute mental health crises or behavioral emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, medical social workers, educators, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health interventions and behavioral health outcomes to advance evidence-based practice. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Licensed Associate Worker (LAC) or equivalent in the state of New Jersey. Ability to work with clients 16 and up individuals Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, psychiatric patient care, and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Skilled in psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data collection purposes. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining clinical professionalism and sensitivity. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical social work practices is essential. Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
