Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling and psychotherapy, with a focus on providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families. This role requires the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case management activities in compliance with ICD-10 and ICD-9 standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment. Offer support and guidance to clients dealing with various challenges, including but not limited to emotional distress, behavioral issues, and life transitions. Stay informed about developments in the field of mental health and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Engage in case management activities, including referrals to community resources and follow-up on client progress. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with case management practices. Familiarity with child family counseling techniques and experience working with children and families. Proficiency in clinical counseling methodologies, including psychotherapy approaches tailored for diverse populations. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds. Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to confidentiality standards within the counseling profession.
