Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor or LPC-Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and those with developmental disabilities, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The counselor will utilize various therapeutic techniques to support clients in overcoming challenges and achieving their personal goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and goals. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services, including individual, group, and family therapy. Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Crisis Intervention techniques. Facilitate crisis management sessions for clients in need of immediate support. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Engage in clinical research to enhance therapeutic practices and outcomes. Provide telehealth services as needed to accommodate client preferences. Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Skills The successful candidate will possess a variety of skills that may include: Psychotherapy techniques Child & family counseling experience Crisis intervention strategies Experience working with children and adolescents Christian counseling principles Hospital experience in mental health settings Knowledge of PTSD care and addiction counseling Proficiency in clinical counseling methods such as grief counseling and behavioral therapy Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and patient care protocols Skills in case management, intake processes, and diagnostic evaluation Experience with special populations including geriatrics, individuals with autism, or developmental disabilities Ability to conduct group therapy sessions effectively Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their expertise in these areas during the interview process.
