Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed School Counselor to support the mental health and emotional well-being of students within a dynamic middle school educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in school-based counseling, behavioral health, and child development, with a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere. As a Licensed School Counselor, you will collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based interventions, conduct assessments, and promote positive social-emotional growth among students. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and social-emotional development for students across diverse backgrounds. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs related to mental health, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or other special education requirements. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based therapy for children, motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and ensure comprehensive support for students' academic and emotional success. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with school policies. Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict management strategies to address urgent student needs while ensuring safety and stability. Support families through child & family counseling services, working to strengthen attachment bonds and improve communication within the family unit. Participate in ongoing professional development related to adolescent development, cultural diversity counseling, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practice methodologies. Skills Extensive experience working with children and adolescents in school or clinical settings. Proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and behavioral health practices. Expertise in social work or mental health counseling with specialization in behavioral therapy, child & youth therapy, or applied behavior analysis. Ability to utilize documentation tools effectively for case management and clinical records maintenance. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, teachers, and healthcare providers from diverse cultural backgrounds. Demonstrated capability in conflict management, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. Pay:

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
