Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate students' mental health needs, including diagnostic evaluations and risk assessments. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, attachment-based therapy for children, and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis management protocols to respond effectively to urgent mental health situations, including crisis intervention and PTSD care. Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to develop personalized case management plans that support student success and behavioral health goals. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and adhere to clinical documentation standards using appropriate social work documentation tools. Facilitate social work activities such as social skills training, conflict management, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Promote culturally sensitive counseling approaches tailored to diverse student populations, ensuring inclusive support for all backgrounds. Requirements master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure or certification preferred. Proven experience working with children and adolescents in school-based or clinical settings. Strong knowledge of adolescent development, mental health counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) and motivational interviewing. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality documentation aligned with clinical standards. $72,585.30 - $87,414.55 per year
