Are you a compassionate, licensed professional looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults? We are seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Specialist to join our PACE-RI team. In this highly collaborative role, you will be a vital part of our mission, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for our program participants. Reporting directly to the Social Work & Behavioral Health Manager, you will use your master's-level clinical expertise to champion mental wellness, ensuring our participants receive the comprehensive, empathetic care they deserve while aging with dignity. Your day-to-day will be dynamic, rewarding, and deeply impactful as you work hand-in-hand with our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). You will evaluate referrals, develop tailored treatment plans, and guide participants through individual or group counseling to build effective coping strategies. Beyond direct therapy, you will serve as a behavioral health thought leader for our staff—providing education, evaluating program effectiveness, identifying caregiver support needs, and jumping in for crisis intervention when necessary. Whether you are connecting families with vital community resources, documenting progress in our electronic health records, or traveling between PACE-RI sites and community settings, your clinical insights will directly shape our shared goals of care. To thrive in this role, you will need a Master of Social Work degree, an active Rhode Island LICSW license, and a genuine passion for geriatric mental health. We are looking for someone with at least five years of direct service experience—including one to two years in a medical or geriatric setting—plus a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community-based travel. If you have excellent clinical judgment, can navigate complex situations with a steady and supportive hand, and are ready to bring your warmth and professionalism to a team that truly values your expertise, we would love to hear from you!
