- 10:30 AM Pay Local $65/hr Travel pay package available for those who live beyond 50 miles About the Facility Cascade's 23-Hour Evaluation & Treatment (E&T) Center is a psychiatric emergency stabilization program designed to provide immediate assessment, intervention, and treatment to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises.
Patients may remain in the unit for up to 23 hours and 59 minutes for evaluation and stabilization. Individuals requiring a higher level of care are transitioned to one of Cascade's inpatient treatment programs. This program operates under a high-access model and accepts the vast majority of referrals, serving patients with a wide range of behavioral health needs. The team is committed to providing timely, compassionate, and trauma-informed care during critical moments in a patient's recovery journey. As a newer and growing program, the facility continues to refine processes and workflows to best support patients and staff. Successful candidates will be adaptable, solution-oriented, and excited to contribute to the continued development and success of the program. Position Summary We are seeking dedicated Mental Health Professionals who are passionate about crisis intervention and helping individuals during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. This role requires a strong clinical presence and active patient engagement throughout the shift. Clinicians are expected to provide direct support, crisis intervention, assessments, and care coordination while remaining actively involved in the treatment milieu. We are looking for team members who go beyond documentation and assessments by building meaningful connections with patients and helping identify resources that support long-term stability and recovery. The E&T Center prides itself on creating a welcoming, supportive, and recovery-focused environment that feels less institutional and more person-centered. Staff are encouraged to spend time with patients, foster therapeutic relationships, and assist individuals in accessing services that may improve their quality of life after discharge. Essential Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health and crisis assessments. Complete suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and treatment recommendations. Provide crisis intervention, stabilization services, and therapeutic support. Develop discharge plans and assist with transitions to appropriate levels of care. Coordinate services with community providers and resources. Collaborate closely with Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDPs), providers, and other interdisciplinary team members. Maintain an active presence within the patient care environment. Engage patients therapeutically throughout the shift and support a positive treatment experience. Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation. Participate in patient care planning and multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Assist in managing behavioral emergencies utilizing approved de-escalation techniques. Adhere to facility policies regarding restraints and seclusion when clinically necessary. Contribute to a team-focused culture where flexibility, collaboration, and patient-centered care are prioritized. Required Qualifications Active Washington State LICSW or LMHC license. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with individuals experiencing: Mental health disorders Substance use disorders Behavioral health crises Experience providing crisis assessments and interventions. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. Comfortable working directly with patients experiencing acute psychiatric and behavioral health symptoms. Willingness to complete and participate in MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) training and hands-on crisis intervention techniques. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Evaluation & Treatment (E&T), psychiatric emergency services, crisis stabilization, inpatient behavioral health, emergency department behavioral health, or community mental health settings. Familiarity with Washington State behavioral health systems and community resources. Experience working with both voluntary and involuntary behavioral health populations. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides counseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social or emotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span.
Minimum Requirements:
