Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Before/After School Childcare Lead/Aide, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. In this role, you will supervise and facilitate activities for children before and after school hours, ensuring their well-being and development while fostering a positive community atmosphere. Whether leading group activities or providing one-on-one support, your energy and leadership will make a meaningful difference in young lives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in youth development, education, and childcare within a supportive team setting. Duties Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead engaging youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational programs Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational activities to support childhood development and early learning Follow first aid protocols and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies using CPR or AED when necessary Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other staff to communicate children's progress and address individual needs Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages safety, creativity, and fun for all children Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment Experience working with children across diverse age groups, including early childhood education and special education needs Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and emergency response protocols Proven ability to supervise children effectively during outdoor activities and indoor programs Background in youth program facilitation such as camp experience or sports coaching Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage children actively Experience in teaching or tutoring young children, including childhood development principles Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote respectful interactions and social-emotional growth Familiarity with Christian counseling or youth development programs is a plus for creating a supportive environment Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards This position is ideal for passionate individuals committed to nurturing children's growth through energetic leadership and compassionate supervision. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
