Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant child care center team as a Child Care Center Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and thrive! In this vital role, you will support early childhood development by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive interactions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and caregiving. Duties Support classroom activities by engaging children in age-appropriate play, learning exercises, and social interactions. Assist with supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Help implement curriculum plans focused on childhood development, preschool readiness, and early education principles. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, developmental progress, and any concerns. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately. Support staff with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving responsibilities for infants and toddlers. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; ongoing training encouraged. Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices. Pay:
