Two sweet boys in Fairfield, CT! Overview Are you a warm, energetic nanny who loves working with active kids? Do you enjoy getting outside, keeping children engaged, and creating a calm but fun environment? This family in Fairfield, CT is looking for a reliable, nurturing, and proactive nanny to care for their two boys and become a long-term part of their family. Their boys are kind, articulate, very affectionate, and get along really well. They're looking for someone who brings warmth and energy to the home and can be both nurturing and firm when needed. The family is looking for a long-term commitment and would ideally love someone who has some flexibility to help with occasional additional coverage when the boys are off from school. They are offering $35/hour for a 40/week guarantee ($1,400/week), plus PTO and Sick Time The Ideal Candidate for this Job Are you warm, affectionate, and naturally nurturing? The boys are very "mushy" and affectionate, so someone who has a genuine warmth about them and enjoys forming close bonds with children would be a wonderful fit. They're looking for someone with a bit of energy who can keep up with two active boys and help them make the most of their time together. The ideal nanny will be comfortable keeping the boys moving and entertained.. Someone who enjoys planning activities, getting outside, and finding creative ways to keep two energetic children engaged would be a great fit. The home is a pretty calm environment and the boys are good kids, so the family is looking for someone who can bring a fun, positive energy while also being comfortable setting boundaries and being firm when needed. Reliability is especially important to this family, and they are hoping to find someone who will become a trusted, long-term member of their team. M. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours/week. The additional 12.5 hours/week will be scheduled after the morning school/daycare drop-offs and can be discussed with the family based on their needs and the nanny's availability. About the Children Boy, 3 years old: He is one of two energetic brothers who are very kind and articulate. He currently attends daycare and loves being outside and staying active. The brothers get along really well and have a very affectionate relationship. Boy, 5 years old: He is starting kindergarten and, like his younger brother, has a lot of energy and loves being outside. The boys are very affectionate and benefit from staying active and having plenty to do. They are both wonderful kids who thrive with a nanny who can keep them engaged and entertained. Responsibilities In the mornings, you'll help the boys, get dressed, prepare breakfast, get ready for their day and drop the boys off to their respective schools. The family would love someone who can keep them occupied and active, particularly in the early mornings, and help get everyone out the door smoothly. When the boys are home, you'll keep them engaged with age-appropriate activities and ideally get them outside and moving. You'll also provide care when they're off from school or have half days. When the children are at school, the family would appreciate help keeping the household organized, including straightening up, grocery shopping, and other household errands. There is a vehicle available for the nanny to use. The family would also appreciate someone who can be proactive with small household projects, such as arranging for something to be repaired if needed. The family values having the nanny's schedule align as closely as possible with their own and would love someone who can occasionally help with additional or ad hoc needs. Additional Information Before applying, please be sure you:
  • Have a minimum of three
  • four years of nanny experience
  • Have legal ability to work in the United States (this job is on the books)
  • Have three professional nanny references already on file or that we can call
  • In-person CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Pay:
$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
