Job Description

Overview This position supports the work of the Nasson Community Center, a nonprofit in York County, committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Director of the All Friends Learning Center is a role that blends leadership, child development expertise and administrative skills to ensure that young learners receive high quality care and education. Responsibilities Learning Center Director duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Important to note, that the Director may be responsible for a classroom also depending on staffing at the time. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the learning center. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in the center. Manage and lead a team of staff, including scheduling and hiring. Ensure the learning center is in compliance with all licensing and requirements. Maintain proper records and files. Create and maintain a positive and nurturing environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any issues that may arise. Manage the learning center finances, including billing and making weekly deposits. Stay up to date on the best practices in early childhood education and implement them in the learning center. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, area schools and other stakeholders to promote the learning center, the community center and its services. This job description is not all inclusive and the director of the learning center will also perform other reasonably related duties. Requirements Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and classroom management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification preferred but required within the first three months of employment Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect Prior experience managing a daycare center or childcare facility is preferred Ability to lead a team with enthusiasm while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail This role is ideal for passionate professionals eager to shape the future of young learners through energetic leadership and dedicated caregiving. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
