Part-Time, Approximately 10-15 Hours Per Week (additional hours possible)
Pay:
$30-$35 per hour + mileage/gas reimbursement About the Position Michigan CFO Associates is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a busy CEO and practice owner in the Chelsea, MI area. We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and highly trustworthy Nanny/Family Assistant to provide childcare and family support for two school aged children. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who enjoys working with school-aged children and is looking for a part-time position with the potential for additional hours over time. The ideal candidate will be someone the family can truly depend on—someone who is responsible, organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Extreme trustworthiness and dependability are essential for this position. The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted and consistent part of their household and can be relied upon to follow through on responsibilities with minimal supervision. Schedule The position will begin at approximately 10-15 hours per week , with the potential for additional hours for the right candidate. Tuesday evening availability from 5:00 PM-10:00 PM is required.
Additional hours may be scheduled:
Tuesday during the day Another weekday during the week Occasional evenings Potentially Friday mornings Additional hours as needed and mutually agreed upon Some flexibility in scheduling is important, as the needs of a busy family and business owner may vary from week to week. Responsibilities Provide attentive, safe, and engaging childcare for two school aged children Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities Prepare and serve Tuesday evening dinner Assist with meal preparation for dinners and snacks Pick up groceries and other household items as needed Assist with light housekeeping duties (tidying areas, folding children's clothing). The family does have a regular housekeeper so this would not encompass any deep cleaning. Help keep children's activities, belongings, and schedules organized Assist with general family organization and household errands Provide occasional evening childcare Communicate effectively with the parent regarding schedules, activities, and any concerns Be proactive in identifying and completing tasks that help the family stay organized and running smoothly Provide dependable support to a busy CEO/practice owner and family Please note: This position does not include housecleaning duties. The family has a housekeeper. Qualifications & Requirements At least 5 years of experience providing childcare to young children Current CPR certification Current First Aid certification Comfortable caring for a child with asthma and able to respond appropriately should an asthma-related situation arise Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance Excellent references and a proven history of reliability and dependability Highly trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality regarding the family's personal and professional affairs Organized, responsible, and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Warm, patient, and engaging personality Strong communication skills Flexible and willing to accommodate occasional changes in schedule when possible Background & Screening Because this position involves caring for children and working closely with the family, the selected candidate will be required to complete a comprehensive background and reference screening , which may include: Criminal background check Credit/background screening Employment and personal reference checks Verification of driving record and insurance Compensation $30-$35 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications, plus reimbursement for mileage/gas expenses associated with approved errands and transportation for the position. The family is looking for a long-term, dependable individual who can become a trusted part of their support system. For the right candidate, there is potential for the position to grow beyond the initial 10-15 hours per week.
