Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education programs. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to providing high-quality care and development opportunities for young children. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to promoting childhood growth through innovative teaching practices and compassionate caregiving. Responsibilities Lead the planning and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support early childhood education standards. Supervise and support classroom staff to ensure effective classroom management, behavior guidance, and individualized child development instruction. Maintain compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR certifications. Foster open communication with parents to share progress updates, address concerns, and promote a collaborative approach to child care. Oversee daily child supervision ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed across all classrooms and activity areas. Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development in early childhood education best practices. Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the daycare environment while maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and licensing documentation. Experience Proven experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or nannying roles. Demonstrated classroom experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children including curriculum planning and behavior management. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education methodologies, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare environments. Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a Child Care Director or similar role is preferred. Certifications in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and special education are advantageous. Pay:
$37,440.00 - $41,600.00 per year
