The family recently became a family of four and is relatively new to the area. They value spending time outdoors, playing together, and providing their children with engaging experiences and activities. They are looking for a professional nanny who will become a trusted and dependable presence in their children's lives while working collaboratively with both parents. Both parents work from home and value clear communication, reliability, and a nanny who is confident managing the children's routines independently throughout the day. Schedule
Monday-Friday:
8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Guaranteed 40 hours per week
No regular evenings or weekends required
Start Date:
September 28, 2026 (Flexible to a week or so before or after) Children
Toddler boy, currently 21 months old
Infant boy, currently 2 months old The toddler is active and playful and especially enjoys going to the park, spending time outdoors, and participating in water activities.
The nanny should enjoy getting out of the house with the children and creating age-appropriate opportunities for play, exploration, and development. Also expected when staying indoors. Responsibilities The nanny's primary responsibility will be to provide attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for both children.
Responsibilities include:
Providing loving and attentive care for the toddler and infant
Maintaining age-appropriate routines for meals, naps, bottles, and activities
Planning engaging and developmentally appropriate activities
Encouraging learning through play, reading, music, outdoor exploration, and age-appropriate experiences
Taking the children to parks, activities, classes, and local outings
Supporting the infant's developmental milestones, including tummy time and age-appropriate play
Preparing meals and snacks for the children
Preparing and washing bottles
Children's laundry
Keeping children's bedrooms, play areas, toys, and belongings organized
Cleaning up toys and activity areas throughout the day
Washing dishes used when preparing the children's meals
Maintaining a tidy kitchen following children's meals and food preparation
Driving the children to activities and outings using the family vehicle The family employs professional housekeeping assistance monthly, so this is not a heavy housekeeping position. Household responsibilities are limited to tasks directly related to the children and maintaining the spaces used during the nanny's workday. Ideal Candidate The family would love to find a nanny who is:
Caring, nurturing, and affectionate
Energetic and genuinely enjoys engaging with young children
Experienced caring for infants and toddlers
Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
A strong and proactive communicator
Confident caring for two young children at different developmental stages
Comfortable working in a home where both parents work remotely
Comfortable driving young children and has a safe driving history
Creative in planning activities and outings
Supportive of outdoor play and an active lifestyle
Patient and confident establishing appropriate boundaries
Interested in developing a long-term relationship with the family Above all, the parents want someone they can completely trust with the care and transportation of their children.
Parenting Philosophy The family believes in providing their children with loving guidance while maintaining appropriate boundaries. When challenging behaviors arise, they prefer redirection whenever possible while remaining consistent about limits. If an object is being used inappropriately or unsafely, it may be removed while the child is redirected toward a more appropriate activity. They are looking for a nanny who can reinforce this approach with patience, consistency, and age-appropriate expectations. Home Environment The family lives in a spacious two-story, four-bedroom home with a large backyard in Matthews. Because the home has significant stairs, the nanny should be comfortable safely navigating multiple levels while caring for an infant and toddler. English is spoken in the home. Benefits & Pay
