Job Responsibilities As a Child Care Professional, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities include:

Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for children. Supporting children's daily routines, including meals, diapering, and toileting. Participating in play-based learning activities that encourage children's growth and development. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Following North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) requirements and A New Adventure's policies and standards. Maintaining accurate classroom records, daily logs, and required documentation. Following established health, safety, sanitation, and supervision procedures. Communicating professionally and effectively with parents, families, and team members. Collaborating with coworkers to support children's educational, social, emotional, and physical development. Qualifications Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications and qualities: A genuine passion for working with children and supporting families. At least one year of experience working in a childcare center preferred. North Carolina Early Childhood Credential preferred. A positive, professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of classroom safety, childcare regulations, and appropriate child supervision. Familiarity with the Environment Rating Scales (ERS) preferred. Current CPR certification preferred. Ability to meet applicable TB testing and health documentation requirements. Ability to successfully pass the required national criminal background check. Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing and walking for extended periods, sitting on the floor, actively playing with children, and safely transitioning between floor-level and standing activities.
