Overview Join our dedicated childcare team as a Childcare Closer, working from noon to evening hours to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. In this vital role, you will be responsible for closing the classroom or daycare center while maintaining high standards of child supervision, safety, and developmental support. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for children and peace of mind for their families. Responsibilities Supervise children during the closing hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional growth Maintain a clean, organized classroom or childcare area during the closing shift Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic child care routines as needed Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance and behavior management techniques Complete shift reports detailing activities, incidents, and child observations for seamless handover Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or will be provided upon hire Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with parents, team members, and supervisors This role is perfect for compassionate individuals passionate about early childhood education who thrive in active environments.
