The facility is designed to become the premier destination for youth and adult sports, recreation, fitness, dining, and family entertainment while serving as a gathering place for the local community. Our facility features basketball, volleyball and pickleball courts, indoor turf fields, bowling, a dual level laser tag arena, Krazy Darts, miniature golf, arcade games, a full-service restaurant and bar, fitness center, Child Watch, and flexible event spaces capable of hosting birthday parties, tournaments, corporate outings, and community celebrations. Managed by KemperSports, Henderson Sport & Social proudly embraces the Core True Service philosophy: Be Genuine, Helpful, and Friendly Service is a Team Sport To the Guest, Everything Matters Customer Happiness is Everything My Attitude is My Responsibility Position Summary Child Watch Attendants provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where parents can confidently enjoy Henderson Sport & Social's fitness amenities knowing their children are receiving attentive supervision and quality care. Child Watch is designed to provide supervised care—not licensed childcare. Team members are responsible for creating a welcoming, developmentally appropriate environment that emphasizes safety, engagement, cleanliness, and trust while ensuring every child receives attentive supervision. What Success Looks Like Build trust with parents through professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care. Provide quality supervision that prioritizes quality of care over maximum capacity. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming Child Watch environment. Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and play. Communicate effectively with parents and teammates regarding children's needs and safety. Lead by example through Henderson Sport & Social's Core True Service philosophy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide attentive supervision for children ages 2 and older while maintaining a maximum supervision ratio of six children per attendant. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities including reading, arts and crafts, coloring, games, STEM activities, music, and supervised free play. Verify parent check-in and check-out procedures and maintain awareness of authorized guardians, allergies, and emergency information. Children are never left unattended. Maintain a clean and sanitized Child Watch environment by routinely disinfecting toys, equipment, and high-touch surfaces. Monitor children for illness or unsafe behavior and refuse entry to children displaying symptoms of contagious illness in accordance with company policy. Communicate promptly with parents and management regarding injuries, incidents, or concerns and complete incident reports as required. Assist children with hand washing as needed. Child Watch Attendants do not provide diaper changing, restroom assistance, clothing changes, medication administration, or feeding. Personal cell phone use is prohibited while supervising children except during emergencies or as directed by management. Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and additional operational duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to employment. Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain through Henderson Sport & Social. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on business needs. Warm, patient, attentive, positive, and able to work effectively with children and families. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, youth recreation, or a similar environment. Experience creating age-appropriate activities or lesson plans. Interest in child development and family recreation. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Occasionally lift or assist children up to 50 pounds when necessary for safety. Bend, kneel, crouch, sit on the floor, and actively engage in children's activities. Work in a fast-paced, active family environment.
