This is a great fit for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, understands age-appropriate boundaries, and wants to become a consistent part of a family long-term. Both children attend school/programming during the day, so the role is primarily focused on afternoon care, school pickups, activities, and helping keep the household running smoothly.

Schedule Start Date:

ASAP, once the right fit is found

Monday-Thursday:

Approximately 2:00-6:00/7:00

PM Friday:

Approximately 11:00 AM-3:00 PM, with flexibility. The family anticipates that the schedule may shift in May/June when the children are out of school and would ideally like someone who can remain with them through that transition. Compensation $22-$29/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities School and activity pickups Provide engaging, attentive afternoon care Transport children to activities and outings Plan fun, age-appropriate activities Prepare simple meals and snacks Help maintain the children's daily routines Encourage good manners, independence, and age-appropriate boundaries Children's laundry Keep children's spaces and commonly used areas tidy Help reset the household as you go Outings are encouraged. The nanny will use their own vehicle for transportation, and the family will provide the necessary car seats. About the Children The boys are close in age and get along well. They enjoy biking, scooters, building forts, Magnatiles, imaginative play, and staying active. Their personalities are playful, goofy, and easygoing, with plenty of typical preschool-aged energy mixed in. There are no known allergies or special needs. Ideal Candidate The family would love to find someone who is warm, personable, easy to communicate with, and comfortable taking an active role with the children rather than simply supervising. Previous nanny, childcare, babysitting, or child-development experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with the children while also confidently enforcing household rules, routines, and boundaries. The family's parenting style is relaxed but structured. They value good manners, healthy habits, reasonable limits, and consistency while still allowing children room to make mistakes, learn, and have fun. Household The family has two small Goldendoodles, approximately 10 and 25 pounds, so candidates should be comfortable around dogs. Commitment The family is seeking a long-term nanny for at least one year , with the potential for the position to continue for multiple years.
