Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in early childhood degree or a CPL 3 and higher Must be able to be certified as a director of a child Care Center per Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Special Skills:
Thorough understanding of center operations Strong organizational skills Effective communication skills Ability to plan and execute center functions Ability to implement center policies and procedures Knowledge and implementation of state licensing regulations as well as SUTQ Respects differences in children, parents/families, and coworkers Ability to manage a budget
Experience:
Three years' experience in a classroom Three years plus experience managing a childcare facility
Responsibilities Job Duties:
Maintain the high-quality childcare standards based on DAP Provide support for daily and weekly activities Oversee/approve classroom lesson plans and its implementation Observe/support classroom management Office Management Ensure all required paperwork for children, employees and licensing is obtained and organized in a timely manner and in accordance with state licensing regulations. This includes required emergency plans, drills, and playground inspections Perform general office duties such as, but not limited to reading and responding to emails, making, and receiving phone calls, filing, managing database systems, and overseeing office activities Greet all parents and visitors, answer questions, arrange meetings, lead tours, and perform other customer service tasks. Oversee supply and food ordering to ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and CACFP Personnel Management Oversee hiring process and orientation for any new employees Supervise all employees of center Manage center's program calendar Create weekly schedule of employees insuring ratios are met at all times Approving all time off requests Provide annual performance evaluations for all employees Manage, conduct, and document all employee meetings Fiscal, Administrative and Facilities Management Maintain center's budget including collecting payments/fees, approving expenses, distributing funds, facilitating payroll, tracking expenses, and planning fundraising events Operate a cost effective program Manage all funds prudently Oversee the day to day operations Manage employees Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of center Assure consistent compliance with all ODJFS and SUTQ minimum standards, including but not limited to maintenance of annual fire, health, and other inspections. Oversee the maintenance and security of files for five years Maintain open, consistent, and effective communication with parents, providing parent education training, assistance, and support as needed Assist in any project, perform other functions as assigned by owner Professional Growth and Development Oversee the training and professional development of all employees Attend professional development seminars, etc. to maintain an understanding of current best practices of curriculum and administrative functions of all employees School/Community Relations Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parent involvement Represent center in a professional, courteous, and positive manner at all times Promote a positive, caring environment for learning for employees, students and parents Communicate effectively with employees, students and their families Other Perform all duties as assigned
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
