Description:

Part time nanny position starting early this September for a family in Philomath with two girls ages 6 and 7. Monday through Friday from 2:15pm to 5:45pm (the nanny can start earlier for more hours to help with household tasks). Both parents work for the University and the family lives on a 10 acre property. Both girls are in the process of being adopted by this family, and have trauma from when they lived with their bio families. They can have strong emotions and are working on catching up in school and with their social emotional development. The nanny hired will need to be exceedingly patient and consistent with them, and have a curiosity and interest in childhood development specific to children who have been through trauma. Mom and dad have learned a lot about the girls and are excited to bring in a great partner to help them continue their journey of raising their girls to be well adjusted and feel safe and secure. Their last nanny was a great fit and is moving on to another location. They'd love to find someone who is a great fit for the kids, and if someone wants more hours they'd love help with the girls' laundry and general tidying. They have a big property with animals so if a provider had experience with or interest in helping maintain the property and care for the animals and garden this would be a huge plus. The family is also interested in equine therapy for the girls so if a nanny has a background in or interest in horses that would also be a huge plus.

Pay:

$25.58 - $35.80 per hour
