Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead our early childhood education programs and ensure a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and foster positive relationships with families. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to childhood development and create a welcoming space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Lead the overall management of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards. Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, child development instruction, and behavior management strategies. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood education, preschool activities, toddler care, and infant care. Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and responsive support to foster trust and community engagement. Oversee staff recruitment, training—including first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR—and ongoing professional development in childhood development and special education. Ensure all childcare practices adhere to mandated reporting laws and health protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications. Manage daily classroom operations including child supervision, activity planning, behavior management, and classroom organization to create an enriching learning environment. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age and children with disabilities. Strong background in early childhood education with classroom experience in childcare or childcare center settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Certifications in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and child safety protocols are required or highly preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising staff or managing a childcare program. Knowledge of PA PreK Counts guidance and regulations a plus. $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
