Description:
A warm, professional family is seeking a reliable, calm, and engaging nanny to support their bright and empathetic 6-year-old as he begins Kindergarten. This is a structured, respectful household that values consistency, communication, and creating a nurturing, supportive environment where children can thrive. Their son is imaginative, kind, and full of personality—he loves pretend play, building, reading, and outdoor adventures. The family is looking for someone who can balance fun and creativity with structure, guidance, and educational support. About the Role This role focuses on after-school care, blending play, routine, and early education support. The ideal candidate will create a calm, structured environment while keeping afternoons fun and engaging. Responsibilities School pickup from local elementary school Support with homework and early learning (reading, letters, numbers) Plan engaging activities like crafts, imaginative play, and outdoor time Transport to activities, playdates, and outings Assist with wearing AFO orthotic (training/comfort provided) Encourage routine, structure, and smooth transitions between activities Light household support (tidying, children's laundry, dishes, simple meal prep) Ideal Candidate Experienced with school-aged children Patient, calm, and emotionally supportive Comfortable supporting a child with mild physical needs (AFO brace) Strong with routine, transitions, and gentle structure Engaging, creative, and active (minimal screen time) Reliable, communicative, and proactive Comfortable driving for school pickup and outings
