Responsibilities Greet children, families, and staff warmly during opening and closing shifts, establishing a friendly and professional atmosphere Supervise children during arrival and departure times, ensuring safety and proper check-in/check-out procedures Implement classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and developmentally appropriate activities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and common areas at shift start and end Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates, concerns, or questions about their child's day Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of child abuse or neglect and reporting appropriately Assist with basic child development instruction, including age-appropriate activities that support early childhood education principles Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child supervision techniques, behavior management, and early childhood development Certification in First Aid, CPR (Child and Pediatric First Aid), or willingness to obtain upon hire Familiarity with special education needs or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift children as needed throughout shifts Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children Join us in shaping bright futures!
