In this vital role, you will be responsible for opening the center in the morning and closing it at the end of the day, ensuring a safe, organized, and nurturing space for young learners. Your proactive approach will help set the tone for a positive day and ensure smooth transitions throughout operating hours. Responsibilities Greet children, parents, and staff warmly during arrival and departure times, fostering positive relationships Prepare classrooms with age-appropriate activities and materials before opening Conduct safety checks of the facility, including playgrounds and indoor spaces, to ensure a secure environment Follow all mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols diligently Manage daily checklists, attendance records, and classroom supplies to maintain organization Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily experiences, behaviors, and needs Secure the facility at closing time by completing end-of-day procedures, including cleaning, locking doors, and setting alarms Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of child development principles and classroom management techniques Certification in First Aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management strategies Ability to work independently during opening and closing shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration Experience with infant care, toddler care, and classroom supervision is highly desirable Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children thrive!
