Child Care Director

Job Description

Center Director:
The on-site staff person, who is responsible for the daily operation of a child care center, including but not limited to supervision of staff and children. The center director can only have responsibility for one center and may not hold another full-time job during the hours of center operation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Must meet able to perform caregiver duties Coordinate Food Service Program Ensure proper notices to parents Ensure the center is in compliance with Minimum Standards Fire and Safety Drills Ensure all workers complete assigned task Create schedules (work, cleaning, outside and special events) Keep accurate and complete employee and student files Payroll (corrections and submissions) Hold Enrollment events Keep Center attendance log Management of Apps usage Create Work Orders for building Maintenance. Hiring Screening and Recommending employees for hire Train and Coach Staff Meet KPIs assigned for the location (Key Performance Indicators) Other duties as assigned The center director shall be physically present on-site during the hours of the center's operation. The center director shall be at least 21 years of age and meet one of the following qualifications: (i) A bachelor's degree or advanced degree from a state-approved college or university in early childhood education, child development, child psychology or a related field that includes at least eighteen credit hours in child development and/or early childhood education; (ii) A bachelor's degree from a state-approved college or university in any subject area, six months experience working with children in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility; (iii) An associate's degree from a state-approved college or university in early childhood education, child development, child psychology or a related field, that includes at least eighteen credit hours in child development and/or early childhood education with six months' work experience in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility; (iv) A diploma in child development/early childhood education from a state-approved institution or a child development associate credential (CDA), and one year work experience in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility; or (v) A High School Diploma or
GED, AND
Early Childhood Development (ECD) 101 with 3 years' experience in a licensed, approved or registered child care facility. One year shall include supervision of child care staff.
