2 years (Preferred) Full Job Description At GMTC, we require a Licensed Child Care Administrator, LCCA to ensure the overall supervision of resident/client care while meeting the DFPS Minimum Standard State requirements as outlined for GRO settings of residents/clients who reside in an RTC environment.
General:
Ensure the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of children Have a system in place to ensure an employee is always available to handle emergencies Assign tasks to caregivers that do not conflict or interfere with caregiver responsibilities Administer and manage the operation according to your policies ensure the operation complies with its applicable policies Ensure children in care do not act as caregivers Ensure persons whose behavior or health status presents a danger to children are not allowed at the facility
Duties:
The Licensed Child Care Administrator is responsible for the operation of the facility and ensuring quality care, services and advocacy for our children Implements programs and services as specified in the children's individualized service plan Completes accurately all reports, data collection and other information documenting the care and services provided in keeping with licensing regulations and Agency policies Have daily supervision and on-site administrative responsibility for the overall operation Be responsible for or assign responsibility for: Overseeing staffing patterns to ensure the supervision and the provision of child-care services that meet the needs of children in care Ensuring the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of children Having a system in place to ensure an employee is available to handle emergencies Assigning tasks to caregivers that do not conflict or interfere with caregiver responsibilities Administering and managing the operation according to policies/procedures to include Minimum Standards Ensuring persons whose behavior or health status presents a danger to children are not allowed at the operation.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of State licensing codes, regulations, policies and procedures and guidelines for accreditation. Knowledge of supervision and management of General Residential Operations. Knowledge of the effects of domestic/family violence on children and trauma informed care. Skilled in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Outlook software. Ability to effectively supervise and communicate, both orally and written. Ability to analyze and resolve situations accurately and professionally and adopt a plan of action. Ability to work independently, train and evaluate assigned staff performance. Ability to maintain professionalism while establishing and developing relationships. Requirements:
Candidates must hold an Administrators license as an (LCCA) Licensed Child Care Administrator in the State of Texas and be familiar with the
DFPS Minimum Standards Required Education and Experience:
Meet the qualifications established by the operation's governing body Be flexible with hours (state regulation) Must be at least 30 years of age A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Child Care Administrator Experience working with children diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral and emotional disorders in a residential treatment setting
Desired Education and Experience:
BS/MS Social Sciences, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences A minimum of five (5) year's of experience with children diagnosed with emotional, intellectual, and/or developmental disabilities and behavioral disorders is preferred
Additional Requirements:
Proof of valid Texas Driver's License (Type C) Access to reliable transportation Proof of valid/current auto insurance (only hired employees who transport clients) Cleared criminal background check including FBI fingerprinting Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment) Cleared drug screen Reliable mode of contact (Cellular Telephone, Landline, Email, VOIP etc.)
Physical Demands:
With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent sitting, standing and walking, may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and or moving.
