Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic childcare team as a Child Care Floater, where your flexibility and passion for early childhood development will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. In this vital role, you will provide consistent, nurturing care across various classrooms and age groups, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for young learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while supporting our mission to foster growth, curiosity, and joy in every child. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Assist with classroom activities, play-based learning, and developmental instruction tailored to each child's needs. Support teachers by maintaining a safe environment through proper child supervision and behavior management techniques. Follow all health and safety protocols, including administering pediatric first aid and CPR when necessary. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily experiences, milestones, and any concerns. Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans and educational strategies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and play areas to promote a healthy learning environment. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect. Ability to work flexibly across different classrooms or shifts as needed. Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration. Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging activities and positive guidance. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
