Responsibilities Lead the planning and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development and early learning standards. Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring children are engaged, supervised, and supported in their individual needs. Manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a high-quality team. Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR certifications. Foster open communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and addressing concerns to build strong partnerships. Oversee the maintenance of accurate records related to child progress, attendance, incident reports, and licensing documentation. Promote a positive classroom environment that emphasizes behavior management strategies, inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, and toddler or infant care best practices. Requirements Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Demonstrated classroom management skills with a focus on nurturing developmentally appropriate activities. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification preferred. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and classroom supervision techniques. Experience working within daycare or childcare center environments; daycare center experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team leadership; experience with parent communication is essential. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements. Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
