We're a historic church with a fresh vision for the future. Since welcoming a new Lead Pastor, we've experienced exciting momentum as more young families have begun connecting with our church. Our Kid's Ministry now welcomes around 17 kids each Sunday, and we believe God is just getting started. We're looking for someone who is passionate about Jesus, loves kids, enjoys building relationships, and wants to help create a ministry where kids are excited to come to church and families feel genuinely known and supported. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you. This Is More Than a Job This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing ministry. Rather than simply maintaining programs, you'll have the freedom to help build a culture where kids are loved, volunteers thrive, parents feel supported, and families take meaningful next steps in following Jesus. You'll work directly with our Lead Pastor, who believes kid's ministry isn't simply something the church offers—it's central to who we are. Rather than working alone, you'll be encouraged, supported, trusted with meaningful leadership, and invited to help dream about where God is leading our ministry next. We want this to be a genuine partnership where your ideas, gifts, and leadership are valued. What You'll Do Your primary focus will be helping kids and families experience the love of Christ through a ministry that is joyful, organized, welcoming, and Gospel-centered.
You'll:
Lead an engaging Sunday morning Kid's Ministry experience for our 10 am service. Recruit, encourage, and care for a committed volunteer team. Build relationships with kids, parents, and first-time families. Help create fun and meaningful family events throughout the year. Maintain safe, welcoming, and engaging kid's environments. Collaborate with church staff to continue growing a healthy ministry. While there are administrative responsibilities, we believe ministry is ultimately about people. Your greatest contribution won't be managing programs—it will be helping kids and families grow in their faith. What Success Looks Like One year from now, we'd love to celebrate that: Kids can't wait to come to church each Sunday. Parents feel known, encouraged, and supported. Volunteers are growing, thriving, and love serving together. New families quickly feel welcomed and connected. Our Kid's Ministry is organized, joyful, and continuing to grow. More kids are discovering who Jesus is and taking meaningful next steps in their faith. If those outcomes excite you, there's a good chance you'll love serving here. Who You Are We're looking for someone who is: Passionate about helping kids know and follow Jesus. Relational, encouraging, and approachable. Organized and dependable. Comfortable leading volunteers and building healthy teams. Excited to work collaboratively with church leadership. Teachable, humble, and eager to continue growing. Experience in kid's ministry, education, volunteer leadership, or family ministry is valued, but formal ministry education is not required. We care more about your heart, character, leadership, and love for people than a particular résumé. Why You'll Love Serving Here A healthy church with exciting momentum. A growing Kid's Ministry with wonderful families. A supportive Lead Pastor who genuinely values your leadership. Freedom to bring creativity, initiative, and fresh ideas. Flexible part-time schedule (25 hours per week). A church family committed to reaching the next generation together.
