Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual support and guidance to individuals in assisted living and memory care facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to serving others through Christian counseling and crisis intervention. This role requires the ability to lead prayer services, educate individuals about spiritual matters, and offer comfort during times of distress. Responsibilities Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients, families, and staff in healthcare or hospice settings. Lead worship services, prayer meetings, and other religious activities. Offer crisis intervention support during critical situations. Educate individuals on spiritual matters and provide resources for personal growth. Facilitate conflict management among individuals or groups as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients. Plan and organize events that promote spiritual well-being within the community. Maintain accurate records of visits and interactions for follow-up purposes. Skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey messages of hope and support. Strong leadership abilities to guide individuals in their spiritual journeys. Proficient in conflict management techniques to address sensitive situations with empathy. Experience in Christian counseling practices to provide meaningful guidance. Knowledge of hospice care principles to support terminally ill patients and their families. Ability to present information clearly during public speaking engagements or group settings. Event planning skills to coordinate spiritual gatherings that foster community engagement. This Chaplain position is an opportunity for those who are passionate about providing emotional and spiritual support while making a positive impact on the lives of others through their faith-based practices.
