Job Description
Unity Church | Gastonia, North Carolina Unity Church is prayerfully seeking a passionate and dependable Part-Time Worship Leader / Next Gen Pastor to help lead our church into its next season of ministry. We are a congregation undergoing revitalization with a strong desire to reach young adults, families, children, and students in West Gastonia with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This combined ministry position is ideal for someone who feels called to lead worship while also building relationships and developing ministries for the next generation. Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and lead Christ-centered worship during Sunday services
- Recruit, develop, and disciple musicians and vocalists
- Work with the pastor to select biblically sound worship music
- Help develop ministries for children, students, young adults, and families
- Build relationships with families inside and outside the church
- Assist with outreach events, special services, and community ministries
- Help create a welcoming environment where the next generation can grow in Christ Preferred Qualifications
- A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Agreement with the beliefs and mission of a Southern Baptist church
- Experience leading worship and working with children, students, or young adults
- Ability to sing and lead with an instrument is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
- A servant's heart and a willingness to help rebuild and develop ministry teams
- Ministry education or training is preferred but not required This is a part-time, compensated ministry position with opportunities to grow as the church grows.
