  • Belpre, Ohio Walnut Street Church of Christ is seeking a motivated and energetic Preaching Minister to help lead our congregation into its next season of growth.
Over the past several years, we have experienced a significant cultural shift that has lowered our median age and established a strong foundation of engaged young families. We are looking for someone who is excited about building on this momentum and helping us reach even more people for Christ. Our leadership team consists of three committed elders and three active deacons. While remaining firmly grounded in Restoration Movement doctrine, we are progressive in our ministry methods and continually seek new ways to engage and serve our community. Our worship service features a contemporary praise band in a casual, welcoming environment. We are family-oriented and have an active and growing children's ministry. To learn more about our church, visit: Walnut Street Church of Christ Facebook Page Primary Responsibilities Prepare and deliver biblically sound sermons and Bible studies. Guide and develop our small group ministry. Work alongside and support ministry leaders, deacons, and volunteers under the oversight of the elders. Actively participate in church events and community outreach efforts. Foster a culture of evangelism and discipleship. Partner with the elders in pastoral care, visitation, counseling, and congregational support. Help establish and communicate the church's vision and direction. Evaluate ministry effectiveness and assist leadership with strategic planning and future growth initiatives. Ideal Candidate You may be a strong fit for this position if you: Hold a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies or a related field. Demonstrate Christ-like character and a mature faith. Are temperate, self-controlled, hospitable, gentle, and well respected by others. Possess strong organizational and leadership abilities. Have a passion for Kingdom growth and community outreach. Connect well with children, youth, and young families. Have experience serving in a growing church environment. Consider yourself a "people person" who can relate well to a blue-collar, fun-loving, welcoming, and supportive congregation. Qualifications and Skills Confidence and effectiveness in public speaking and preaching. Strong knowledge of Scripture and biblical teaching. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to build and maintain healthy relationships. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and website management. Previous preaching experience is preferred but not required for an exceptional candidate with strong potential.
