This position is responsible for the overall leadership of the Pathway children's ministry---Moon Campus (birth through grade 5) including the casting a compelling vision, training and equipping of volunteer staff, and creating of an environment where children grow in their knowledge and love of God. This individual will be an essential part of the Moon staff team and will play a vital role in the accomplishment of the church's vision to impact children and families within the campus and community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Personal:
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of professionalism. A person of irreproachable character.
Leadership:
Able to set a compelling vision for the children's ministry based on our purposes as a church, and lead others effectively in the accomplishment of that vision.
Management:
Demonstrated ability to recruit, equip and lead ministry systems.
Team-Oriented:
Team player who is able to work cooperatively with the overall volunteer team and in conjunction with the overall church vision.
Theological:
Doctrinal unity with the statement of faith of Pathway Church.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the children's ministry in Moon.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing weekly children's ministry programming
Develop teams to assist with the tasks of operating an active children's ministry program.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers to serve effectively and joyfully in children's ministry
Communicate regularly with parents regarding programming, events, and important updates
Offer periodic special events for children (e.g. Fall Festival, VBS).
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of programs and events, making changes as necessary.
Ensure the safety and security of the activities of the children's ministry.
Help track attendance, volunteer schedules, and basic ministry data as needed
Pray for and build relational connections with children, families, and volunteers
