Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Senior Pastor to lead and inspire our faith community. The ideal candidate will serve as a spiritual leader, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to congregation members while fostering a welcoming environment rooted in Christian values. This role involves delivering impactful sermons, overseeing church programs, and offering compassionate counseling to individuals facing life challenges. The Senior Pastor will be instrumental in nurturing spiritual growth, strengthening community bonds, and guiding the organization's mission to serve others with integrity and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Deliver engaging sermons and religious teachings that resonate with diverse audiences, inspiring faith and personal growth. Provide pastoral care, including bereavement support, crisis intervention, and terminal illness counseling to congregation members and their families. Lead religious studies classes, workshops, and seminars to deepen understanding of Christian doctrine and principles. Offer Christian counseling services, mentoring church members through life's challenges and spiritual questions. Plan and coordinate church events, outreach programs, and community service initiatives that promote fellowship and social impact. Manage conflict resolution within the congregation with tact and compassion, fostering a harmonious environment. Oversee church staff and volunteers, providing leadership in program development, training, and organizational growth. Qualifications Proven experience working as a clergy person within a nonprofit faith-based organization or similar setting. Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate complex religious concepts clearly and engagingly. Excellent public speaking abilities complemented by presentation skills that motivate and inspire diverse audiences. Knowledge of hospice care practices and terminal illness counseling to support individuals facing end-of-life issues. Demonstrated experience in crisis management, conflict management, and crisis intervention within a community setting. Skilled in Christian counseling, mentoring, event planning, and working collaboratively with teams to achieve shared goals. Exceptional writing skills for sermon preparation, organizational communication, and educational materials.
