Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to residents in a long-term care or assisted living environment. Your energetic and positive approach will help foster a warm, safe, and engaging community for individuals with diverse needs, including those with cognitive disabilities, dementia, and other age-related conditions. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while developing your skills in senior and disability care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide companionship and emotional support to promote residents' well-being and social engagement Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring safety and adherence to care plans Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident observations, and incident reports Follow infection control protocols by cleaning and sanitizing resident areas and equipment Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavioral management strategies Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medication administration, and safe patient lifting practices Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring community care services Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift operation or manual handling are a plus Join us to be part of a compassionate team committed to enriching lives through dedicated caregiving.
