Organization and Role Summary Mary's Path changes lives Two at a Time. Pregnant and parenting teenage moms in the foster care system are placed with us. These teen moms who have experienced abuse, neglect, and/or trafficking find a safe place to heal from trauma, continue their education, develop parenting skills, and work toward lives of dignity, hope, and self-sufficiency. As a Residential Counselor - On-Call , you will support Mary's Path's mission by providing direct care and supervision to residents and their children as Residential staffing needs arise. This position is part of Mary's Path's supplemental Residential staffing pool and may provide full-shift or partial-shift coverage across AM, PM, and Overnight schedules. You will report to the Residential Program Manager / STRTP Administrator or designee and may receive direction and support from the Senior Residential Counselor serving as the onsite lead during your assigned shift. On-Call Schedule and Availability This is a part-time, PRN/on-call position. Assignments are based on program staffing needs and are not guaranteed. Submit at least 24 hours of availability each month. Availability for the following month is generally due by the 15th of the preceding month. Availability may include complete Residential shifts or partial availability of at least four consecutive hours. Full-shift availability is strongly preferred and will generally be prioritized when staffing needs arise. Employees are expected to work at least 20 hours of Residential assignments per month when sufficient assignments are offered by Mary's Path. Submitted availability represents a commitment to accept assignments that fall within the days and times provided. On-call staff must remain responsive when contacted during submitted availability and meet the requirements of Mary's Path's Residential On-Call Policy. Employees must maintain sufficient regular participation to remain familiar with residents, program routines, current procedures, and Residential operations.

6:00am-4:00pm
PM:
12:00pm-10:00pm
Overnight:
9:00pm-7:00am Availability does not need to match these complete shift windows. Partial availability of at least four consecutive hours may also be submitted. Mary's Path does not guarantee any minimum number of assignments, scheduled hours, or earnings for this position. Role Responsibilities General Exhibit a professional attitude and model appropriate attire, communication, and personal interaction for residents Attend all required orientations, trainings, staff meetings, and other meetings as directed Complete all required training, including 40 hours of annual Residential training Be a flexible member of the team by assisting and supporting other programs or staff as needed and working collaboratively to achieve organizational goals and mission Review relevant staff communications, resident updates, shift information, and required program documentation before beginning each assigned shift Maintain familiarity with current Residential program procedures, expectations, and resident needs Childcare and Supervision Oversee the general safety and well-being of all residents during assigned shifts Conduct and document required resident checks Teach by example through positive role modeling and encouragement Assist as needed with residents' personal care, parenting responsibilities, planned activities, and daily routines Implement Behavioral Support and Management Plans, apply approved methods of discipline, and use emergency interventions when necessary in accordance with Pro-ACT principles Maintain appropriate professional and personal boundaries with residents Protect and uphold residents' personal rights Support compliance with house expectations and program rules Participate in shift transition meetings and review relevant supervision, communication, and resident information Follow all applicable Community Care Licensing, Title 22, and Mary's Path requirements Transport residents and their children to planned and unplanned appointments, activities, and other approved destinations as needed Monitor onsite and offsite visits between residents and family members or other approved visitors and complete required documentation Provide assistance and supervision to new mothers, including infant care when appropriate Help ensure infants' and toddlers' needs are met, including feeding, diapering, and supervision Communicate significant resident or child progress, concerns, or needs to the appropriate program staff Complete required documentation accurately and timely, including communication logs, resident records, progress notes, supervision documentation, incident reports, mandated reporting documentation, and other required records Follow required procedures for onsite and offsite passes, medications, visits, transportation, and other resident activities Perform other responsibilities reasonably related to the position as assigned by the Residential Program Manager / STRTP Administrator or designee Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree Minimum age 21 One year of full-time experience working in an STRTP, group home, residential treatment program, residential substance use treatment program, or similar setting preferred Due to the nature of this position's duties and population served, only women may hold the position, consistent with applicable law Commitment to supporting pregnant and parenting teens and their children Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication to varying audiences Demonstrated collaboration, empathy, resilience, situational adaptability, and respect for diverse populations Ability to exercise sound judgment and situational discretion Ability to establish rapport and trust while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Ability to contribute to a strengths-based, trauma-informed program culture Ability to be punctual, dependable, flexible, and accountable to job expectations Ability to self-manage and respond appropriately to changing program needs Ability to maintain reliable availability and participation consistent with the Residential On-Call Policy Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions The conditions and requirements below are representative of those required for an employee to successfully meet the essential requirements of the role.
