The Assistant Resident Services Director is responsible for the management of all resident care services in our memory care community in Vista, California. Assistant Resident Services Director supports the RSD in functions of direct care team members (Caregivers, Medication Technicians, and LVN's as needed). And will assist in the management of staff including hiring, scheduling, and performance appraisals.

Minimum Qualifications Criminal background check as required by State Agencies Prefer at least 2 years' experience in providing residential care to the elderly. Has respect and compassion towards older adults. Able to perform calculations for budget and financial responsibilities, understand and define problems. Clearly and informatively communicate complex ideas to employees, residents and family members and agencies in writing and verbally.
MUST HAVE CAREGIVING AND MEDICATION TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for providing timely care services to residents in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Must keeping required licenses and certifications current. Maintain current knowledge of changes and advancements in the industry, including knowledge and understanding of dementia care.
Recruit, hire, evaluate, schedule, provide timely performance appraisals, and supervise care department employees in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Provide sufficient orientation for employees to ensure their knowledge of company values, goals, policies, and procedures.
Provide training for all staff to make certain all care services, delivery of medications, record keeping, and emergency procedures meet or exceed federal, state and company guidelines.
Ensure that schedule provides adequate staffing in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies and procedures.
Provide for coverage when staff is absent to ensure completion of essential duties.
Complete assessment of new residents to ensure they are appropriate for the community based on current licensing, regulations, and company policies. Including pre-admission appraisal, completion of care services plan, and ensure that all required medical records and move-in forms are obtained. Ensure all requirements per Title 22 have been met and resident is appropriate for admission.
Provide periodic assessments of all residents and monitor residents for a change in status to ensure all care needs continue to be met.
