Job Description

Position Criteria:
Iowa Teaching License, preferred Demonstrate aptitude for performing tasks listed Must exhibit ethical practices and be a role model to students. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Criteria:
Has an understanding of the teaching-learning process and the necessity of working with the students. Knowledgeable about FBLA- goals, purposes, structure, bylaws, educational initiatives, etc. Provide leadership development experiences for all members of the chapter. Assist students in developing a meaningful Program of Work and Calendar of Events. Complete membership requirements per state and national guidelines such as ensuring student enrollment and membership fee payments. Oversee all functions of the local chapter such as chapter meetings, maintain records and financials, election of officers, fundraising activities, etc. Keep school board and administration, local businesses, community, parents, teachers, school staff, and local media informed of chapter activities. Establish a link between the local chapter and business community. Keep chapter members informed of FBLA activities at the regional, state, and national levels and encourage them to participate in all levels of FBLA. Be committed to each student, welcome the diversity, and be a positive role model in actions and deeds. Organize District/Regional, State, and National leadership trips which will include arranging for travel, supervision of students, timely submission of all requests for prior approval, submission of conference requests in a timely fashion, collection and security of funding. Travel with students to leadership conferences and activities.
