Assistant Director of Resident Services The Schochet Companies - 3.5 Braintree, MA Job Details $43 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Benefits from day one Qualifications Driver's License Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Assistant Director of Resident Services Schochet is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and experienced Assistant Director of Resident Services to support high-quality Resident Services programs across our portfolio. This is a hands-on position providing direct support to residents and Resident Services Coordinators (RSCs). The Assistant Director of Resident Services will assist with complex cases, provides coverage during staffing transitions, supports and mentors RSCs, develops resident programming, and work closely with Property Management and community partners. Key Responsibilities Provide coverage during RSC vacancies, leaves, and transitions. Assist with complex resident cases, including tenancy stabilization, crisis response, and service coordination. Support RSCs with case management, intake, referrals, documentation, and problem-solving. Coach and mentor RSCs and model effective resident engagement and best practices. Develop resident programs and support community-building efforts. Support residents and Property Management during renovations, relocations, and other operational changes. Collaborate with community providers and Property Management to address resident needs. Assist with HUD compliance, grants, data collection, and reporting. Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and high customer-service standards. Participate in special projects and provide departmental support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or related field required. Experience in housing, social services, older adult services, or case management. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Experience in training or mentoring staff preferred. Knowledge of HUD programs preferred. Valid Drivers License and own transportation required. Why Schochet?
