In Person Located on our historic campus in Towson, Maryland, Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center (https://www.sheppardpratt.org/care-finder/sheppard-pratt-school-towson/) (RTC) is a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) approved, level V nonpublic school. We offer a year-round therapeutic educational and residential program catering to youths ages 12-18 with emotional and behavioral challenges. Our comprehensive program offers structured community and recreational activities alongside full-day special and general education schooling. What to expect. You will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of therapeutic strategies, working closely with students to support their treatment goals .
Specific responsibilities include:
Providing additional structure to students in alignment with their Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Supporting the teacher as a paraprofessional educator by providing behavior intervention and treatment and educational support . Serving as a role model for students by encouraging and reinforcing appropriate behavior. Assisting residential staff in developing and reinforcing student's independent living skills and facilitating an effective transition from residential unit to school setting. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience. What we need from you. High school diploma or GED. Must meet Sheppard Pratt's requirements to operate a company vehicle: Be 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience. Have a valid driver's license. Driving record with 2 points or less for the 3 most recent years of driving history.
