Qualified or Associate Professional - Youth Residential Care Nova Way LLC Charlotte, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $15 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Caregiving documentation requirements Care documentation Conflict de-escalation Sociology High school diploma or GED Driver's License Bachelor's degree Meal preparation Clinical assessment documentation Human Services Social Work Full Job Description We are seeking a Qualified Professional or Associate Professional to support adolescent girls in a Level III residential group-home setting in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate has a human-services degree and experience working with children or adolescents receiving mental-health, developmental disability, or substance use services. Duties and supervision requirements will be assigned according to the candidate's verified QP or AP classification. Responsibilities Provide direct care, guidance, and therapeutic support to residents Help maintain a safe, structured, respectful, and therapeutic environment Support the implementation and coordination of treatment plans and behavior-support strategies Assist with clinical documentation, progress notes, incident reports, and record reviews Participate in staff meetings, treatment-team activities, and resident-care coordination Use approved crisis-prevention and de-escalation techniques Provide or assist with staff guidance and supervision when authorized and assigned Communicate with program leadership and other members of the resident's care team Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance Complete all required training and assigned residential responsibilities
Available Shifts Monday-Thursday:
2:00 PM-9:00 PM or 9:00 PM-7:00
AM Friday:
2:00 PM-9:00 PM or 9:00 PM-9:00
AM Saturday:
9:00 AM-9:00 PM or 9:00 PM-9:00
AM Sunday:
9:00 AM-9:00 PM or 9:00 PM-7:00 AM Qualifications Applicants must qualify as a Qualified Professional or Associate Professional under 10A
NCAC 27G .0104.
Common qualifying education and experience backgrounds may include: A bachelor's or master's degree in a human-services field, such as psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, human services, child development, special education, or a related discipline Relevant full-time experience with the mental-health, developmental-disability, or substance-use population served Other education, professional licensure, nursing credentials, and experience combinations recognized under North Carolina's QP/AP definition Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass all required background checks Experience working with adolescents or in a residential setting preferred Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and de-escalation skills Dependable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to provide transcripts, résumé, licenses, and experience verification to determine QP or AP eligibility Compensation Starting pay is $15 per hour. Opportunities for pay increases are available based on reliability, attendance, work ethic, job performance, and consistent fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.
