Job Description

Aurora Project, Inc. - Toledo, Ohio Full-Time | $15.00 per hour Aurora Project, Inc., a transitional housing program serving women and their children, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Full-Time House Monitor for our 4:00 p.m.-midnight shift. This is a regularly scheduled position and an important part of Aurora's residential team. House Monitors help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for the women and children who live at Aurora. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential for this position. Responsibilities Provide supervision and support to residents during the evening shift Maintain awareness of resident activities and ensure house expectations are followed Monitor evening routines, including meals and other scheduled activities Maintain the safety and security of the house Complete routine rounds and ensure doors, supply areas, and designated spaces are properly secured Respond appropriately to resident needs and situations that arise during the shift Complete clear and accurate shift notes and incident documentation Observe and document residents taking their medications; House Monitors do not dispense medications Maintain professional boundaries and resident confidentiality Communicate promptly with appropriate staff regarding concerns or incidents Support a clean, orderly, and welcoming residential environment Complete other routine house responsibilities as assigned What We Are Looking For The successful candidate will: Be dependable, punctual, and consistently report for scheduled shifts Be attentive and engaged throughout the shift Be comfortable working independently while functioning as part of a team Follow established policies and procedures Demonstrate good judgment and respond calmly to unexpected situations Communicate effectively with residents and staff Be compassionate while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries Complete required documentation accurately and on time Understand the importance of consistency when working in a residential environment Experience in residential services, behavioral health, social services, recovery services, security, or a related setting is helpful but not required. Training will be provided. Schedule This is a full-time, regularly scheduled 4:00 p.m.-midnight position . Some weekend and holiday availability is required based on the regular schedule and needs of the residential program.
