Otterbein Senior Life is seeking an Assisted Living Resident Assistant to provide compassionate, resident-centered support to older adults in our faith-based community. In this role, you'll assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence. You'll monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, support housekeeping and safety, and offer companionship and engagement in activities. Responsibilities Provide daily personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to assisted living residents Support residents with mobility, hygiene, dressing, and meals while promoting dignity and independence Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff and follow individualized care plans Assist with light housekeeping, room organization, and a safe, clean living environment Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage residents in activities and social programs Document care provided according to facility policies and regulatory standards Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure resident-centered care Follow infection control, safety protocols, and emergency procedures at all times Required Skills Personal care assistance Activities of daily living (ADLs) support Observation and reporting of resident condition Basic vital signs monitoring Infection control practices Electronic or paper care documentation Safe transfer and mobility techniques Housekeeping and sanitation Resident engagement and activities support Basic dementia and memory care support
