DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports treatment and training services by assisting residential staff and participating in individualized plans for the people served at Selinsgrove Center. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:
Plan Development:
Assist with completing portions of assessments and training plans to support individualized programs
Active Treatment:
Conduct assigned training procedures to help individuals build daily living skills
Progress Monitoring:
Record and report information to help review and update individual plans
Team Participation:
Share observations and communicate skill needs with other members of the interdisciplinary team
Record Keeping:
Document information in unit records to support communication across staff
Environment Support:
Help maintain therapeutic spaces through selection, placement, and monitoring of personal items
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are available on the following shifts, with rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (1st shift), with a 30-minute lunch 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (2nd shift), with a 30-minute lunch Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,376.00 (before taxes). FREE parking! REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
