SUPPORT SERVICES OF VIRGINIA
(SSVA) Open Your Home. Change a Life. Lynchburg & Surrounding Counties Earn approximately $48,000-$124,000 per year while making a meaningful difference from home. Support Services of Virginia (SSVA) is seeking compassionate individuals, couples, and families throughout Lynchburg, Amherst, Bedford, Campbell County, Appomattox, Forest, Madison Heights, Rustburg, Altavista, Farmville, Buckingham County, Charlotte County, and surrounding communities to become Sponsored Residential Providers. This opportunity is a strong fit for people who want meaningful work from home while making a lasting difference. Sponsored Residential Providers welcome an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities into the home and provide support, encouragement, and a stable family environment. Compensation Sponsored Residential Providers can earn approximately $48,000-$124,000 annually , depending on the support needs of the individual(s) served and program funding levels. Payments are made on a biweekly basis. What Providers Do Provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home Help an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence Support daily living skills and personal goals Encourage community involvement and meaningful relationships Partner with SSVA to support a strong match based on compatibility, lifestyle, and interests SSVA Provides Free required training Guidance through licensing and certification Ongoing professional support from an experienced team 24/7 on-call assistance Biweekly payments Qualifications Applicants must: Be 21 years of age or older Have a high school diploma or GED Be active within the local community Have at least six months of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities Be comfortable using technology and electronic documentation systems Demonstrate effective written communication skills SSVA carefully matches providers and individuals based on compatibility, interests, and lifestyle.
