Job Summary Aim Higher Supportive Services, Inc. is seeking caring, responsible, and committed individuals interested in becoming Sponsored Residential Providers for individuals (children/adolescents) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sponsored Residential Services gives individuals (children/adolescents) the opportunity to live in a private home setting where they can receive individualized support while developing greater independence and participating in their communities. As a Sponsored Residential Provider, you have the opportunity to open your home to an individual (children/adolescents) and become an important part of their support system. About the Opportunity Sponsored Residential Providers provide support from their own residence and assist individuals (children/adolescents) with the day-to-day activities and responsibilities necessary to maintain a safe, healthy, and meaningful lifestyle. The Provider works closely with Aim Higher Supportive Services, Inc. and the individual's (children/adolescents) support team to ensure services are delivered according to the individual's (children/adolescents) needs, preferences, goals, and approved service plan. This is a contractual/independent contractor opportunity and is not an employee position. What You Will Provide Sponsored Residential Providers may assist individuals (children/adolescents) with: Establishing and maintaining daily routines Personal care and activities of daily living Medication-related support, as appropriately trained and authorized Meal planning and preparation Household responsibilities Transportation and participation in community activities Development of independent living skills Socialization and relationship-building Implementation of person-centered goals Behavioral and emotional support Safety and supervision Participation in appointments and other activities as needed The level of assistance provided will depend on the individual's (children/adolescents) abilities, support needs, and authorized services. Residence Requirements Providers must have a suitable residence that can accommodate the individual (children/adolescents) receiving services.

Applicants may:

Own their residence; or Rent their residence with appropriate permission from the property owner/landlord. The residence must meet applicable Virginia requirements for Sponsored Residential Services and provide a clean, safe, comfortable, and appropriate living environment. Typically, a Sponsored Residential home serves one individual (children/adolescents), although some circumstances may allow for two individuals (children/adolescents) based on applicable requirements and approval. Financial Information Reimbursement is based on authorized services and the individual's (children/adolescents) support needs. Services may be reimbursed for up to 344 billable days annually , subject to applicable requirements. Payments are generally processed on a bi-weekly basis . Providers should anticipate that the first payment should be around 30-45 days after services begin, depending on billing and processing timelines. Actual compensation may vary based on the individual served and the services authorized. Training and Provider Support You do not have to navigate the Sponsored Residential process alone. Aim Higher Supportive Services, Inc. will provide assistance throughout the onboarding process and offer ongoing support to help Providers understand their responsibilities.

Support may include:

Initial orientation and provider training Assistance with licensing and regulatory requirements Guidance regarding the Sponsored Residential approval process Ongoing consultation and supervision Assistance with required documentation Service delivery guidance Person-centered planning support Assistance understanding individual support needs Compliance and training reminders Communication with members of the individual's support team Required Training Sponsored Residential Providers must complete training appropriate to their role and the needs of the individual (children/adolescents) they support. Training may be offered through a combination of virtual, online, and in-person opportunities and may include: CPR and First Aid Medication Administration Human Rights Person-Centered Planning and Practices Behavioral Support Emergency and Safety Procedures Documentation Requirements Additional training related to the individual's specific needs Additional training may be required throughout the Provider's participation in the program. Work-Life Balance and Backup Support Sponsored Residential Providers may have other employment or professional responsibilities, depending upon the individual's (children/adolescents) needs and the availability of appropriate backup support. Providers may also take personal time away from the residence when an approved backup Provider or Direct Support Professional (DSP) is available to provide the necessary coverage. Because this role involves providing a stable home environment, Applicants should understand that Sponsored Residential Services requires a significant and ongoing commitment.

Agency Participation Requirement :

Sponsored Residential Providers must disclose any current or proposed Sponsored Residential arrangements with other agencies. Any additional placement or agency relationship must be reviewed and approved in advance by Aim Higher Supportive Services, Inc. and must comply with all applicable Virginia licensing, service, supervision, and placement requirements.
