Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Resident Assistant and become a vital part of creating a warm, supportive, and engaging environment for residents in an assisted living settings. In this role, you will provide compassionate personal care and assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive community atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, dementia, or requiring senior care. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' vital signs and health status regularly to ensure their safety and well-being Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols while maintaining detailed records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental and emotional health through activities and conversation Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing personalized care plans and behavior management techniques Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents in accordance with dietary guidelines Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Support emergency procedures including first aid response when needed and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals or emergency responders Qualifications Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Certification or experience in first aid, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, or caregiving is advantageous Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical documentation practices Ability to assist with ADLs using appropriate techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members Valid driver's license for transportation duties is a plus but not mandatory Join us to make a positive impact through compassionate caregiving! Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
