Big Picture Wellness, Smaller Community SettingJob DescriptionThe Life Enrichment Assistant will report to Life Enrichment Director. This position is non-exempt, hourly position.
Schedule:
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary Range:
$19.50 - $20.00 HourlyJob OverviewThe Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for implementing assigned activities and programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents within the community. Assumes the responsibility to engage residents to participate in activities and programs each day.

Responsibilities and DutiesAssists with planning and implementing activities that meet the needs and interests of the residentsAssists with creating resident histories and profiles with resident/family involvementAssumes responsibility for set-up and clean-up of daily activities scheduledAssists with creating a monthly social program calendar and distributes them to community personnel and residentsKeeps residents engaged between planned social activitiesParticipates in and attends all in-service training as scheduledEnsures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualificationsOne to two years related experience in leading activities for the elderlyExperience with Illustrates (for calendar and newsletter planning) preferredHigh school diploma or higher education preferredExcellent verbal and written communicationWilling to work flexible hoursProficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applicationsPhysical AbilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.

An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 25 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
